   AW Gem is likely undergoing a superoutburst.

   Maehara-san observed this outburst on Apr. 8, yet without apparent
superhumps.  These observations suggest that the outburst was caught
during its early stage.  Further observations are encouraged.

   It would be worth noting that the SU UMa-type nature was revealed
in the 1980's by amateur observers (quite pioneering to modern trend in
DN research!?) :
