According to Rod Stubbings, the SU UMa-type dwarf nova RU Hor has been
caught on the rise:
YYYYMMDD(UT) mag observer
20080805.501 148 (Rod Stubbings)
20080805.551 147 (Rod Stubbings)
20080805.599 140 (Rod Stubbings)
The object underwent a superoutburst in 2003. The outburst frequency
of this object is rather low. Together with the relatively long
superhump period (0.07095 d), the object resembles UV Per and QY Per.
Further observations are encouraged. If the present outburst turns
out to be a superoutburst, this early detection would provide
an excellent opportunity to follow the full evolution of the outburst.
