[vsnet-alert 10493] Possible nova in Sco

[Korotkiy Stas]

D. Chekhovich (Moscow), S. Korotkiy (Ka-Dar obs.) and T. Kryachko (Astrotel obs., KSU) confirmed possible nova in Sco on DSLR 300-s images (limiting unfiltred mag 14.5) taken on Sep. 2.735 UT (V=10.5mag) and Sep. 3.732 UT (V=9.5mag) with DSLR Canon EOS 350D + lens (F=135, f/4) at Kazan State University Astrotel observatory (Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia). No object at images obtained on Aug. 30.783 UT (lim mag = 14.5m).

Сoordinates for possible nova in Sco from CCD images obtained on Sep. 03.72 UT with 8.0-cm f/7.5 ED-refractor (+ SBIG ST-2000XM camera unfitred, exp=10sec) at Kazan State University Astrotel observatory (Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia): R.A.=17h 57m 32.91s, DEC=-30d 43' 10.3".
