V466 And: emerging ordinary superhumps?
We have received further data from Lubomir Urbancok (two nights),
Pavol A. Dubovsky, Maehara-san and Nakajima-san. Kyoto team has also
succeeded in observing the object last night, whose data are being
analyzed.
On Sep. 6, the full amplitude of early superhumps had decreased to
0.04-0.05 mag, but still with a clear double-wave profile.
On Sep. 7, the profile apparently changed to a singly-peaked.
Although the amplitude was still small (~0.08 mag), we may be witnessing
the very evolution of ordinary superhumps. We hope we will be able
to clarify this transition when Kyoto and other data become available.
The mean period of early superhumps up to Sep. 6 was 0.056395(14) d.
Further observations are strongly encouraged!
