V466 And fully grown superhumps!
Jochen Pietz (7 nights), Jeremy Shears (5 nights), Lubomir Urbancok
(two nights) and Kiyota-san have kindly send us a lot of data!
The data now clearly show fully developed superhumps (amplitude 0.2 mag
on Sep. 13-14).
The best period determinations from the data up to now:
early superhumps: 0.056352(7) d
ordinary superhumps: 0.05774(3) d
The resultant fractional superhump excess is 2.4%, which is relatively
large for a typical WZ Sge-type dwarf nova. Note, however, that the above
"mean" superhump period was slightly affected by the early-stage evolution
of superhumps. We will be able to obtain a refined superhump period
and fractional superhump excess when the period evolution stabilizes
and when sufficient superhump cycles are observed.
Further observations are very strongly encouraged to fully record the
current superoutburst!
