UW Tri likely early superhumps
Nakajima-san has obtained 7.5-hr time-series photometry of UW Tri,
although sometimes interrupted by clouds. The light curve shows
the presence of modulations consistent with the superhump signal
detected in 1995. Being a single-night photometry of low-amplitude
signal, it is still difficult to uniquely determine the period.
Either the reported superhump period or a period 1% shorter
(assuming early superhumps, but the period may be still shorter) can
explain the observed modulations. The full amplitude of the variations
was 0.06-0.09 mag. The best segment of the light curve indicates that
minima are sharper than maxima, resembling early superhumps in typical
WZ Sge-type dwarf novae. If this is the case, UW Tri may have
a relatively low orbital inclination.
