Regarding the new Var in Pegasus (OT_J213701.8+071446):

As Patrick Wils has already noted [cvnet-discussion 1189], this star was
bright on NEAT images taken on 2003 July 29 (which are of low quality,
likely due to tracking problems). Interestingly enough, both NSVS and
ASAS have also captured possible outbursts due to the proximity of the
variable to 13th mag star GSC 0554 1177 which is 31" away.

(Note: though the pixel size of both NSVS and ASAS is about 14", the
photometric aperture circle is definitely larger. Thus, two stars
falling within two-three pixels from each other are measured together).

Star (or a blend of two) is present in ASAS-3 as object 213700+0714.6:

Star was bright on 2003 July 19, 21, 23 and 25, so this is definitely
the same outburst as the NEAT one.

ROTSE-1 has captured a possible earlier outburst of NSVS 14440437 on JD
2451390.2 (two points with ROTSE mag 12.69 and 12.90).

Best regards,

Denis
