According to cvnet-discussion, D. Denisenko (IKI, Moscow) and
S. Korotkiy (Ka-Dar observatory) have observed the Catalina transient
OT_J071126.0+440405. They have detected two deep eclipses and large
amplitude humps. The orbital period is 0.0810(1)d. The object is an
eclipsing CV below the period gap.
Further time-resolved observations are encouraged.

report:
We have observed the Catalina transient OT_J071126.0+440405
[vsnet-alert 10867] with the 80-mm f/7.5 refractor and SBIG ST2000XM
CCD on the Caucasus Mountain Station of Kazan State University. More
than two hundred 60-second exposures were obtained (unfiltered)
starting at 19:00 UT on 2008 Dec. 31. USNO-A2.0 1275-06796630 (07 11
13.18 +44 03 59.3) with magnitude 13.9 was used as a reference star.
We have observed two deep eclipses between 19.3-19.4 hr UT and
21.25-21.30 hr UT. At minimum light the variable is below the limit
of our setup. We estimate the magnitude range as at least 14.4-17.6.
The orbital period is measured as 0.0810(1)d.
The phased light curve is available at the following URL:
http://pics.livejournal.com/bigdenru/pic/00057rpw/
It is typical for the eclipsing polars with a dip before the main
minimum, flat bottom at phases 0.3-0.7 and a hump (about 1.5m!)
before and after eclipse.
Observations are continuing while bottles of Crimean Russian
Champaigne are popping up here on Caucasus!!!
P.S. Note the showflake asterism around the new variable on CSS
images.
