[vsnet-alert 10928] PU Per superhumps confirmed

PU Per superoutburst

   Nakajima-san has reported observations of PU Per.  Low-amplitude
superhumps were present on Jan. 6 data, confirming that the present
outburst is a superoutburst.  The period determined from these
single-night observations was 0.0667(4) d.  This period is shorter
than the previously reported one (IBVS 4765).  Since the 1998 observations
were very noisy (and affected by the aliasing problem), we hope we can
securely determine the period during this superoutburst.
Further observations are encouraged.
