Timur Kryachko reports the following photometry of this faint variable
object [vsnet-alert 11277] obtained by him remotely with
Astrotel-Caucasus:
SDSSJ115419.06+575750.9 20090530.940 18.3C TKr
SDSSJ115419.06+575750.9 20090601.772 18.3C TKr
SDSSJ115419.06+575750.9 20090602.770 18.4C TKr
SDSSJ115419.06+575750.9 20090607.788 20.0C TKr
(the first measurement was already reported here). There were no
observations between June 3-6 due to the poor weather on Caucasus.
Thus, the object has faded by almost 2 magnitudes in last 5 days.
Isn't this too fast for quasars? Has anybody with a large scope
obtained the time series when the object was brighter, and the Moon
fainter?
Also, Brian Skiff has mentioned V=18.44 and 17.97 from GSC and NOMAD
in [vsnet-alert 11277]. Indeed, the star (quasar?) is by ~2mag
brighter on Quick-V plate of 1984 Mar. 01 than on the 2nd epoch
Palomar Blue plate taken in Jan. 1994.
