VX For rapid fading

We have received further data from Arto Oksanen and Eric Southgate
(The Hermitage Observatory) and Berto Monard. The Hermitage data
clearly indicate that the object started a rapid fading on Sep. 23.
There is an indication of a variation in the superhump period around
the started of the fading. All the findings support that we have
observed the "stage B superhump" lasting for the middle-to-late stage
of the superoutburst plateau. The Pdot for this interval was marginally
positive: +3(1)*10^(-5). As discussed in vsnet-alert 11492, the system
is expected to undergo multiple reberightenings following the present
fading. Continued observations (even if the object gets faint) are
strongly requested.
