     "Close" in this case means 8".0 separation in position-angle
2 degrees, adopting the SDSS DR7 astrometry (epoch 2002.2).
Comparison with scans of older Schmidt plates suggests the pair
is optical, with the dwarf nova moving south and east very slowly
relative to the southern star, which is an M dwarf in the foreground.
The SuperCOSMOS scan of the POSS-I red plate (only) gives 
separation 8".4 in pa 358 for the plate date of 1955.225.
