T Pyx: variations shorter than Porb!

We have received time-series photometry of T Pyx from Josch Hambsch
and Berto Monard. The object is still in slowly rising phase.

Most notably, Monard's observations seem to indicate the presence
of periodicity at 0.0737(1) d with mean amplitudes of 0.03 mag.
The signal appears to be coherent. This periodicity is 3.3 % shorter
than the orbital period (0.076223 d). If it were an accretion-disk
system, thie periodicity can be referred to as negative superhumps.
What is the cause of this unusual variation?

Further follow-up observations are strongly encouraged.
