Please note that the position of the new transient is 33' from the
eclipsing polar 1RXS J184542.4+483134 with a period of 0.05491d (79.07
min)! When the dwarf nova fades, observers with a large enough FOV
will be able to do the photometry of two extremely interesting object
simultneously. According to ATel #3436 (Pavlenko et al.), the eclipse
duration of J1845+4831 is shorter than 150 seconds! Unfortunately
J1845+4831 is faint (17.5-19m in 2010-2011 with historical maximum of
16.6), so it is a target for 30-cm telescopes or larger.
On the other side: if some people were observing 1RXS J184542.4+483134
in the past with the wide field CCD setup, they might have obtained
historical (pre-outburst) photometry of the new transient OT
J184228.1+483742. Please check your archival observations, if you
have them!
And one more comment on subject. The new variable is an UV source with
the following magnitudes in quiescence:
GALEX J184228.1+483740
FUV=21.34+/-0.32 NUV=20.61+/-0.16
