I can confirm that the possible transient in Sco is a nova. A spectrum taken with the SMARTS 1.5m at UT 2011 Sept 8, 2:11 shows a broad H-alpha line that resembles a recurrent nova Balmer line profile. Fred Walter Stony Brook University
