CBAT Transient Object Confirmation Page lists a possible nova PNV
J21581852+2419246 in Pegasus (unfiltered discovery magnitude 14.5 on
2011 Oct. 27.6436). R. A. Koff (Bennett, Colorado, USA) reported to
CBAT 2.5-hour time series between Oct. 28.18-28.28 UT showing orbital
modulation superimposed on the growing trend (from 14.1 to 13.8).
Light curve by R. A. Koff is posted at
http://antelopehillsobservatory.org/SNpictures/PNVJ21581852+2419246LC.jpg
The object has an ultraviolet counterpart GALEX J215818.5+241924 with
the far UV magnitude FUV=18.28+/-0.06. There is a blue star on DSS
plates with the following entry in GSC 2.3.2 catalogue:
21 58 18.502 +24 19 23.79 J=19.13 V=18.86 N=19.10
There are no previous outbursts on 36 NEAT images available from the
SkyMorph website.
Most likely this is an UGSU dwarf nova in outburst. Observations are encouraged.
Note that the variable is located between two bright stars from Tycho
catalogue: TYC 2203-1685-1 (V=9.70, B=10.27) and TYC 2203-2207-1
(V=10.45, B=11.02) separated by 40". Image by R. A. Koff (from CBAT
TOCP):
