Hi,
I have analysed my data based on the available AAVSO sequence.
Data have been sent to the AAVSO database.

Animation of the field on 28 July 12 & earlier shot on 27 May linked here, limiting magnitude around 12.5:

To get mag 10.3 unf per earlier report, I used the 9.92 star used by Josch and V-mag 10.51 star NOMAD 0319-0169903 (Tycho-2 8593-00003-1), magnitudes from Vizier. These are the two small stars showing close to and top-right of the PNV in the animation. As I said, it's very rough using only one sub, maybe skies will be better tonight. DSS coloured plate sourced in Aladin shows a little cluster of stars very close to the reported position, the brightest at V-mag 13.3.

I used MAXIM to do the photometry.
I used TYC 8593 1612 as reference star (Mag 9.92) and TYC 9593 307 as check star (Mag 9.377)
The calculated magnitude of the new object is about 9.15 mag in V.
Probably tonight due to clouds no observations are possible.

Can confirm a reddened object at that position, unfiltered mag 10.3 in 2-min exposure with DSLR, 28.792 July 2012. Last two nights have been cloudy but I got a very brief window this morning, sufficient only for one sub. Mag estimate is very approximate as I needed more subs, maybe tonight I'll get a better opportunity. Have posted a follow-up report to TOCP. Image here:

Please someone in southern hemisphere confirm this nova candidate.
Spectroscopic confirmation are encouraged as awell as multiband photometry.
