Pavel Podvorotny has found the new optical transient in Camelopardalis
on MASTER-Kislovodsk unfiltered images of 2012 Oct. 08.088 UT. We have
received follow-up photometry with MASTER-Tunka telescope
simultaneously in two filters on 2012 Oct. 08.842 UT. The photometry
is as follows:
MASTER OT J071856.78+601833.3
20121008.070 154CR MASTER-Kislovodsk
20121008.088 155CR MASTER-Kislovodsk
20121008.842 156V MASTER-Tunka
20121008.842 158I MASTER-Tunka
Nothing is visible at this position on 9 DSS plates to limiting
magnitude ~21.5. Color-combined (BRIR) DSS finder chart is uploaded to
http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J071856+601833-BRIR.jpg (10'x10'
FOV).
The discovery has been just published in Astronomer's Telegram ATel
#4465, see <http://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=4465>.
Based on the amplitude of variability (more than 6m) and color
(V-I=-0.2) we suggest that MASTER OT J071856.78+601833.3 is likely a
new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova) in outburst. Photometric time
series are encouraged.
