ASASSN-13ax: more on superhumps
Ian Miller and Enrique de Miguel have reported new observations.

Comments: There was a rapid and strong decrease in the period in the
range JD 482-484, with a clear negative Pdot
Pdot = -72(8) x 10^{-5}
and a mean Psh in that range of 0.05660(6) d.
From JD .geq. 484, the period is fairly constant, with
Psh = 0.056093(9) d
This is probably NOT a WZ-Sge type object, as the initial
(very large) negative Pdot is quite unusual. It is more
likely an SU UMa-type, with a rather large outburst
amplitude.

This is stage A-B transition. The period of stage B superhumps
is 0.05612(2) d, while that of stage A is 0.05694(10) d.
The difference in epsilon is 1.4%, which is fairly typical
difference in epsilon between stages A and B in WZ Sge-type
dwarf novae. There is some hint of a positive Pdot for stage B.
Further observations are encouraged.
