     Yes, it seems the CBAT message is somewhat garbled.
     I note there is SDSS image coverage in this area
from epoch 2005.4355.  Exactly at the published position
(within 0".3) is a faint (mag ~22?) star of neutral color
that is the northwestern star of a ~1" pair.
So that is a possible progenitor.
