The closest star is 7" away.

It is SDSS J044548.90-055639.6 = 2MASS J04454890-0556389 = USNO-B1.0
0840-0047055

This one looks like a red dwarf.
Large proper motion, J-K 0.96 (2MASS) and 0.87 (DENIS) and V= 18.4; B-V 1.73
(derived from SDSS).

If this is the same star, it might be a flare from an UV Ceti variable.
