Dear colleagues,

The newly discovered object ASASSN-15ea turns out to be a new SU UMa type
dwarf nova with short superhump period. This morning (2015, Feb 27/28), I
obtained unfiltered CCD photometry observations of ASASSN-15ea at CBA
Belgium Observatory, using a 0.35-m f/6.3 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD
camera. The sky was very clear, resulting in a light curve with a time span
of 1.8 hours, which I had to stop for twilight. It clearly shows the
presence of superhumps, hence establishing this target as a new SU UMa-type
dwarf nova. The sumperhump amplitude is approx 0.1 mag. A period analysis
using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a very short
period of 0.054 +/- 0.001 d only. Further observations are evidently
encouraged.

Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
