V1006 Cyg: superhump period. unusually large excess?
Crimean Astrophys. Obs. team (Alisa Shchurova and
Sergei Shugarov, relayed by Elena Pavlenko) recorded
clear superhumps with larger amplitudes.
Itoh-san also reported observations.
The superhump period has been established to be
0.10772(4) d. This value is unexpectedly long
(8.8% longer than the orbital period).
There may remain a possibility that we are still
observing stage A superhumps. If it is the case,
epsilon^* = 8.1% corresponds to q=0.27.
The result is surprising even whether it is
the case or not. Continued observations are encouraged.
