I have searched the star ASASSN-15nv in the objective prism plates of the 
Digitized First Byurakan Survey (http://www.ia2-byurakan.oats.inaf.it/).
The sky area was covered four times by the survey (1969-10-11; 1972-11-09; 
1972-11-11; 1973-10-24). The star was below the plate limit (about R=16.5) in 
all but 1 plate (1972-11-09, plate 650): in this plate the star was rather blue, 
like in the SDSS data, and about R~17, in agreement with its average level in 
the CRTS light-curve.
