The following two USNO-B1.0 stars
are within 2.5" of the three (slightly
different) reported positions of this
nova in Scorpius:

USNO-B1.0 0525-0663624
17 38 19.264 -37 25 07.70 (J2000.0)
R1= 17.45, R2= 17.14, I= 16.31 mag

USNO-B1.0 0525-0663626
17 38 19.271 -37 25 06.76 (J2000.0)
R2= 18.23, I= 17.40 mag

The first of these stars is closer to
each of the three positions reported on
http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/followups/J17381927-3725077.html

Very close southwest of this star is
a third star (which may be an even
better progenitor candidate) visible
on the DSS IR image.
