[vsnet-alert 20152] CRTS J000130.5+050624: new long-period SU UMa-type dwarf nova

I have just concluded the analysis of a 2016, Sep 07/08 unfiltered CCD photometry session of CRTS J000130.5+050624 (CSS101127:000130+050624). Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory,  using a 0.35-m f/6.3 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera, under clear skies. The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an amplitude of 0.31 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined period of 0.0970 +/- 0.0007d. The object currently is at mag 15.4 (unfiltered).


Further observations are evidently encouraged. I’m running right now (Sep 08/09) another session on this target to confirm the long superhump period.

Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
