We observed from the Foligno Observatory (IAU K56) the variable ASASSN-16jv on 
2016-09-08.8 and 2016-09-14.9. The star was V=15.94 +-0.05 on the first pointing 
while no more visible (upper limit V=17.5) on the second one: reference catalog 
UCAC4.
We remark that the decreasing slope was rather steep (0.26 mag/d at least), at 
variance with other cataclismic variables like ASASSN-13ae who decreased at 0.06 
mag/d for nearly 20 days.
