Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded the analysis of tonight’s 2017, Jan 26/27 unfiltered CCD photometry session of MASTER OTJ065330.46+251150.9. Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using my new 0.40-m /f10.0 telescope (still in deployment mode) and STT-3200ME CCD camera, under a very clear sky. The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an amplitude of 0.16 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, PDM and Lomb-Scargle methods (Peranso), yields a combined preliminary superhump period of 0.0636 +/- 0.0003d, hence establishing this object as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. The object was at mag 16.8 (unfiltered).

Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
