OV Boo: dip phase continues yet
Lew Cook, Osaka Kyoiku U. team, TSAO team, Shugarov's team, Itoh-san,
Maeda-san, Kyoto U. team, Domenico Licchelli, Geoff Stone have reported
new observations.
The object is 16.4 mag now. The fading rate of 0.05 mag/day is unusually
small. The object has shown late-stage superhumps. The period and amplitude
is 0.046916 (4) d and 0.22 mag ,respectively. By using this period, we esitmated
the present disk radius based on the method proposed in Kato & Osaki, 2013
(https://arxiv.org/abs/1307.5588). The estimated disk radius is 0.36A (A is
binary separation). This value suggests that there are relatively large remnant
disk matter.
No one knows whether OV Boo shows rebrightenings or not, but we know the
object might show unusual behavior. Continuous observations are encouraged.
