Dear colleagues,
I have just concluded the analysis of my 2017, Apr 25/26 unfiltered CCD photometry session of ASASSN-17fh. Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m /f10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera, under skies with a mix of clouds and clear patches. The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an amplitude of 0.13 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined preliminary superhump period of 0.0645 +/- 0.0005d, hence establishing this object as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. The object was at mag 16.3 (unfiltered) on Apr 25th.
Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
Best regards
Tonny
