ASASSN-17fp: AM CVn-type object
Berto Monard has reported the observations. The detected period is
52 min which is consistent with the period of vsnet-alert 20985. This
period and the spectrum suggest that the object is an AM CVn-type.
Assuming that the period is close to the orbital one, the object can be
the longest Porb system in all outbursting AM CVn stars.
The amplitudes of modulations are very small (<0.05 mag), so these
modulations might be early superhumps. Further observations are
strongly encouraged. Some of AM CVn-type objects may show double
superoutbursts, so please continue to observe even if the object
temporarily fade.
