Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded the analysis of my 2017, May 20/21 unfiltered CCD photometry session of ASASSN-17gh. Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera, under a clear sky. The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an amplitude of 0.28 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined preliminary superhump period of 0.0608 +/- 0.0006d, hence establishing this object as a new SU UMa type dwarf nova. The object was at mag 15.5 (unfiltered) on May 20th.

Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
