Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded the analysis of my 2017, Dec 08/09 unfiltered CCD photometry session of ASASSN-17qh. Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera, under a clear sky. The resulting light curve shows the presence of small superhumps with an amplitude of 0.04 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0580 +/- 0.0018d, hence establishing this object as a new SU UMa type dwarf nova. The object was at mag 13.15 (unfiltered) on Dec 08th. Photometry of this object is complicated by the presence of a nearby mag 13.4 star.

Observations will be sent to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
