ASASSN-18rg: possible candidate for double superoutbursts

Tonny Vanmunster, Vihorlat observatory team (Pavol A. Dubovsky,
Tomas Medulka), Josch Hambsch, Itoh-san, Stephen Brincat and
Osaka Kyoiku U. team reported observations.

This object shows steep fading from Aug. 15, declining by 2.3 mag per day.
We cannot detect the period of superhumps in this superoutburst.
The large outburst amplitude, about 8 mag (vsnet-alert 22392), the
absence of
superhumps and the rapid fading may indicate that this object is a WZ
Sge-type
dwarf nova showing double superoutbursts. The absence of superhumps can be
considered that this object is a high-inclination system and we saw early
superhumps with very low amplitudes. The magnitude is about 16 mag on
Aug. 16.

Further observations are encouraged to detect the rise of the expected
second
brightening. Stage A superhumps will grow with this brightening.
