Observations on following nights at CBA Kleinkaroo have determined a mean eclipsing period around 0.1682d.
These observations have been largely affected by dense smoke due to fires in the coastal area to our South. So there could be some compromise on the precision of the derived period.
My present ephemeris is 8417.4336+n*0.1682 and I wonder how well other observatories confirm these timings.
Since the brightness of asassn-18yi has largely remained around 15.6CR, continued observations will yield a far more accurate ephemeris.

Subject: [vsnet-alert 22657] asassn-18yi, an eclipsing erupting CV above the period gap
Last night’s observations at CBA Kleinkaroo show asassn-18yi to be around mag 15.6 and undergoing sharp eclipses with a 0.1641d interval. A modulation of amplitude 0.35 seems to be present.
