Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded the analysis of my 2019, Jan 30/31 unfiltered CCD photometry sessions of NSVS 708833. Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and SBIG STT-3200ME CCD camera. The sky was clear for about 2.9 hours.

The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of (early?) superhumps with an amplitude of 0.04 mag, hence classifying this object as a new SU UMa type dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0570 +/- 0.0003d. The object was at mag 12.85 (CV) on Jan 30th.

I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Follow-up observations are highly recommended to further refine the superhump period.

Best regards
Tonny
