Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded an intermediate analysis of my (ongoing) 2019, Mar 15/16 unfiltered CCD photometry session of TCP J05390410+4748030. Observations are made at CBA Extremadura Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and SX Trius SX-46 CCD camera, under very clear skies. My observations were triggered by the discovery announcement of Yuji Nakamura, Japan on the CBAT "Transient Object Followup Reports" page.

The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps, typical of a WZ Sge-type dwarf nova, with an amplitude of 0.19 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0540 +/- 0.0019d. The object was at mag 12.10 (CV) on Mar 15th. The afore establishes TCP J05390410+4748030 as a new WZ Sge type dwarf nova.

I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Follow-up observations are strongly recommended.

Best regards
Tonny
