Dear colleagues,

I have I have just finished analysing last nights (2019, Aug 20/21)
unfiltered CCD observations of ASASSN-19ua, obtained at CBA Belgium
Observatory using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera,
under mostly clear skies.

The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an
amplitude of 0.40 mag, hence establishing this target as a new SU UMa-type
dwarf nova.

A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso),
yields a combined superhump period of 0.0612 +/- 0.0012d. The object was at
mag 14.6 (CV) on Aug 20th.

I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Follow-up observations are recommended.

Best regards
Tonny
