Dear colleagues,
I have just concluded the analysis of my 2019, Sep 09/10 unfiltered CCD
photometry session of ASASSN-19vr. Observations were made at CBA Belgium
Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera,
under clear skies.
The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an
amplitude of 0.20 mag, hence establishing ASASSN-19vr as a new SU UMa-type
dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods
(Peranso), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0601 +/- 0.0005d. The
object was at mag 15.9 (CV) on Sep 10th.
Observations will be sent to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
Follow-up observations are recommended to further refine the superhump
period.
Best regards
Tonny
