Dear colleagues,

Between 2020, Feb 19th and Feb 27th, I have collected 6 nights of observations of TCP J07131142+3015315 at my CBA Extremadura Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and SX-46 CCD camera. Sky conditions mostly were excellent. In all cases, except for the last night, no obvious periodic modulation was present in the observation sets.

However, my data of 2020, Feb 26/27 finally reveal the presence of superhumps, with an amplitude of 0.32 mag, hence establishing TCP J07131142+3015315 as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0656 +/- 0.0010d. The object was at mag 15.5 (CV) on Feb 27th.

Observations will be sent to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Follow-up observations are highly recommended to refine the superhump period and to study its further evolution.

Best regards

Tonny
