SS Cyg: anomalous state ?

Maybe you already noticed that SS Cyg entered an outburst.
The MAXI nova alert system detected a brightening of SS Cyg on May 11.
Its observed X-ray flux is currently ~30 mCrab in 2-10 keV, which is
brightest in the last ~11 years of MAXI's operation.
The rising in the optical outburst seems to be very slow, and the current
magnitude is ~9.5 mag.  The recent activity of this object was irregular
(infrequent outbursts but bright quiescence).  It might be similar to
the recent peculiar activity in SU UMa ...
