timeseries observations were done on the suspected nova asassn-20ge on the
night 12-13 june 2020. The mean magnitude was 13.4CR
Too much cloud interference prevented a proper LC to derive any conclusions
re possible ugwz signs, but temporary clean skies allowed for proper
astrometry to be done on a clean image of the object.
astrometry vs UCAC2 gives pos. 2000: 17 45 51.32 -42 12 06.2
This, within the estimated uncertainty, is in agreement with the ASAS
published coordinates: 17 45 51.44 -42 12 06.4
So, the likely counterparts if any: Gaia Dr2 5957300616594412032 and Gaia
Dr2 5957300582291740928, both around mag 19V.
Further observations are planned to probe for ugwz type modulations.
