Dear colleagues,

I have just finished analysing my unfiltered CCD observations of ASASSN-18wo, obtained last night July 21/22 at CBA Extremadura Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and SX-46 CCD camera under moderately clear skies.

Large amplitude superhumps (0.28 mag) were visible, establishing ASASSN-18wo as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0, under development), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0577 +/- 0.0009d. The object was at mag 15.9 (CV) on Jul 22nd.

I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Follow-up observations are highly recommended to refine the superhump period and to study its further evolution.

Best regards
Tonny
