Dear colleagues,

Further to my message of yesterday on this object, I have now finished analysing my unfiltered CCD observations of ASASSN-20kv, obtained on 2020, Sep 03/04 at CBA Extremadura Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and SX-46 CCD camera under clear skies.

Superhumps with an amplitude of 0.26 mag are clearly visible in the light curve. Taking into consideration the long duration for superhumps to develop (at least 8 nights), this object is a new WZ Sge-type dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0, under development), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0555 +/- 0.0002d. The object was at mag 16.1 (CV) on Sep 04th.

I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Follow-up observations are recommended to study this system.

Best regards
Tonny
