V493 Geminorum = ASASSN-14mv (AM CVn star, HeDN)
https://www.aavso.org/vsx/index.php?view=detail.top&oid=399953

A third (re?)brightening was observed on 2020 Sept. 19, according
to recent ASAS-SN Sky Patrol (Shappee et al. 2014ApJ...788...48S
and Kochanek et al. 2017PASP..129j4502K) data:
https://asas-sn.osu.edu/light_curves/74c5551f-6d0e-4ebf-b675-b7dcf3dab505

A second (re?)brightening was detected on Sept. 9 by Josch Hambsch:
https://www.aavso.org/apps/webobs/results/?star=V493+Gem

The interval between these (short) outbursts is 10 days, compared to
7 days in 2015 (when at least 10 rebrightenings were observed).

Time-resolved photometry or (at least) snapshots are encouraged.

Clear skies,
Patrick

I think we missed (at least) the main (super)outburst.
The initially detected state above quiescence was probably
a plateau phase after the (missed) supermaximum.
However, more normal (i.e. short) "echo" outbursts
may occur (every ~6 days).

Clear skies,
Patrick

The brightening on 2020 August 30 was only a short one
(normal outburst), as V493 Gem is back at mag. 15.9 on
September 2 (Josch Hambsch and ASAS-SN Sky Patrol):

Further brightenings may occur (soon).

Clear skies,
Patrick

The last outburst was in 2015 (superoutburst with
rebrightenings).  There have apparently been no major
(WZ Sge-type) outburst since then.
