This is likely an SU UMa-type dwarf nova, undergoing long and very
short outbursts. Recent examples (from ASAS-SN, ZTF, and Gaia data):
1) 2016 May 23 - June 3
2) 2017 July 30 - August 11
3) 2019 May 29-31
4) 2019 August 13
5) 2020 September 29
#1 and #2 look like superoutbursts, #3 and #4 like normal outbursts.
