[vsnet-alert 24816] Mis V1448 in outburst! (since Oct. 16)

The current outburst (the first recorded one since 2012 May-July)
was also and independently detected by
1) Patrick Wiggins on CCD images that were taken by him on
my request (in the course of our CV monitoring programme);
the images were measured by Daniel Bamberger
2) the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF)
as follows:

Recent astrometry (RA and DE J2000.0, Gaia DR2 reference stars;
observer Patrick Wiggings, measurer Daniel Bamberger):
2020-10-15.146 UT, 19:59:19.41 +/- 0.17", +56:25:20.95 +/- 0.16"
2020-10-16.172 UT, 19:59:19.43 +/- 0.18", +56:25:20.85 +/- 0.16"
2020-10-17.170 UT, 19:59:19.44 +/- 0.15", +56:25:20.71 +/- 0.15"
These results *might* indicate that the outbursting object is
a close companion to the mag. 17 star. OTOH, the third postion
is closest to the Gaia DR2 position of the mag. 17 star.

The 2012 outburst began between April 10 and 2012 May 13
(MASTER-Amur observations; Denis Denisenko, vsnet-alert 14643).
By June 9 it had faded to mag. 15.1 CR (vsnet-alert 14661).
A rebrightening was observed on July 3 (vsnet-alert 14727, 14731).

Such long outbursts with rebrightening(s) are often observed
in WZ Sge-type dwarf novae. However, the reported period of
0.183 d (4.4 h) is above the period gap; if correct, it would
indicate an SS Cyg-type dwarf nova.

Time-resolved photometry, spectroscopy, and further precise
astrometry are encouraged.
