SS Cyg: standstill continues

Tamas Tordai and Pavol A. Dubovsky reported new observations.
SS Cyg is still in the standstill with oscillatory variations.
I do not find any periodicity near the orbital period except for
the orbital one, although strong flickering prevents us from
detecting it.
In this case, multi-band photometry gives us useful information
about the temperature distribution and the radius of the disk.
Also I'm analyzing X-ray data and find that X-ray flux continues to
increase especially in the soft energy band.
You can quickly check the time evolution at:
http://maxi.riken.jp/star_data/J2142+435/J2142+435.html
The absorption of soft X-ray flux changes on timescales of a few days,
which possibly means time-varying outflows.
Then we may find P Cyg profile in optical spectra, though UV
spectroscopy is preferable ..
