Dear colleagues

Further to my SDSS J161909.10+135145.5 observations mentioned below, I
obtained additional observations of this target on 2021, June 16/17 at CBA
Belgium Observatory under poor sky conditions. The resulting light curve is
quite noisy, but does not allow to confirm the below reported superhumps.
Hence, the classification of SDSS J161909.10+135145.5 as an SU UMa-type
dwarf nova is tentative, and will require additional observations.

Best regards
Tonny

Subject: (cba:chat) SDSS J161909.10+135145.5: new SU UMa-type dwarf nova

Dear colleagues,

I have just finished analysing my unfiltered CMOS observations of SDSS
J161909.10+135145.5, obtained on 2021, June 15/16 at CBA Belgium
Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and QHY-268M CMOS camera under
moderate skies. My observations were triggered by Yutaka Maeda-san's
observation reported in [vsnet-outburst 27359].

Regular superhumps with an amplitude of 0.15 mag are visible in the
resulting (noisy) light curve, establishing SDSS J161909.10+135145.5 as a
new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle,
Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0), yields a combined
superhump period of 0.0510 +/- 0.0015d. The object was at mag CV = 16.1 on
June 16th.

I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
