Dear all,

I can confirm the ourburst, the star is about V=10.84. Using a remote operable Rent-A-Scope (New Mexico, USA) 30 cm Mewlon telescope and FLI Dream Machine CCD I took B, V and Rc filtered images of the target.

Here my differental photometry using GSC 470:857 (ASAS V-band mag: 10.99, Equatorial 2000: 19h 05m 41s +05°12'35") as reference:

Filter mid time (JD) delta mag
-------------------------------
Rc 2453531.859129 -0.990
V 2453531.860554 -0.143
B 2453531.862906 1.280
Rc 2453531.864924 -0.991
V 2453531.865876 -0.152
B 2453531.866828 1.344
-----------------------------

The object is very red (or reddened).

Astrometry (J2000.0) in reference of USNOA2.0, average RMS residual 0.4 arc secs:

RA: 19 05 12.50 Decl: +05 14 12.0

My image can be found on ASAS web site:
http://www.astrouw.edu.pl/cgi-asas/asas_disc/190512+0514.2,3524

Further details follows when I have processed second epoch images taken 2 hrs later.

best regards,

arto

Possible new nova or dwarf nova: ASAS 190512+0514.2

Grzegorz Pojmanski, Warsaw University Astronomical Observatory reports:
ASAS3V instrument of The All Sky Automated Survey (telephoto lens 180/2.8,
diameter 65mm + CCD + Johnsons V filter, 3 minute exposures, pixel size
14.8 arcsec, rms astrometric accuracy - 4 arcsec)

has detected outburst of an ipreviously unobserved object (nova, dwarf nova?)
at RA = 19h 05m 12s DEC = +05d 14'.2

which is located close to the following USNO-B1 star:
# id| RA| DEC| B1| R1| B2| R2| I2|

which is hardly visible on the DSS images.

Observations:
    DATE UT HJD V
03/06/2005 07:37:57 (Jun 03.318) 2453524.8224 invisible ( V > 14)

10/06/2005 05:37:10 (Jun 10.234) 2453531.7388 10.8(3)::

The two last measurements were obtained through dense clouds
(extinction ~ 5 mag), and are respectively 2.5 sigma and 6 sigma detections.
